Prof Morenike Ukpong-Folayan
Prof. Morenike Ukpong-Folayan: The board chair for Heartland Alliance International Nigeria, Morenike is an academic at the renowned Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. This great woman who serves as Deputy Director of the College of Health Sciences’ Partnership and Research Advancement Unit also Coordinates the Research and Innovation Support Unit of OAU. She is the coordinator of the New HIV Vaccine and Microbicide Advocacy Society (NHVMAS).
Morenike has extensive experience designing, implementing and reporting both qualitative and quantitative studies for research; conducting monitoring and evaluation exercises for both general and key populations programs; and advocating for use of research outcomes for policy formulation and programming in the field of HIV, bioethics and adolescents health in Nigeria. She has also invested in building community capacity to interpret research findings and use for decision making at micro level.
