Blessing Osazee Airiagbonbu

Blessing Osazee Airiagbonbu is the Director of Laboratory Services for the ACE-6 project. He is a dedicated public health professional with a rich career in laboratory management, monitoring and evaluation, and extensive experience in public health programs across various capacities in both government and public/private sectors. His expertise encompasses a wide range of infectious diseases, including blood transfusion, HIV/AIDS, TB, reproductive health, OVC, maternal and child health, adolescent health, and education, as well as capacity development in Nigeria.

Airiagbonbu is highly organized and adept at managing teams and coaching, with a talent for swiftly assessing needs, providing necessary tools, resolving difficulties, enhancing learning, and improving performance. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and the Africa Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM). He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH) and a WHO Scholar on survey and vaccination coverage.

He holds a postgraduate certificate focused on vaccination and survey coverage, clinical management of HIV/AIDS, leadership and management in health, and fundamentals of implementation science from the University of Washington’s Department of Global Health. Additionally, he has specialized training in laboratory management from LabVine. Airiagbonbu is a seasoned public health logistician and biomedical laboratory scientist, skilled in program management, healthcare management, and clinical research, with a demonstrated history of effective work in the public health sector
