The SRHR/WUIDs is a ViiV Health Care Positive Action-funded project focused on empowering women and girls who use and inject drugs (WUIDs) by addressing their unique sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) needs in a stigma-free, inclusive environment.
The program offers a range of services, including HIV treatment, STI prevention, psychosocial support, antiretroviral therapy (ART), and safer injection practices through needle and syringe programs. Additionally, it provides counseling, targeted information, education, and access to justice.
Operating in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Lagos States, the program also focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, vaccination, and treatment of viral hepatitis and tuberculosis. Through local advocacy and community engagement, the program aims to advance the rights and health of WUIDs, reduce stigma, and foster safer, healthier environments for women and girls who inject drugs.
