The Accelerating Control of the HIV Epidemic in Nigeria (ACE-6) Project is a USAID-funded initiative designed to fast-track HIV epidemic control in Bayelsa, Edo, and Lagos States. By leveraging evidence-based, high-impact interventions, ACE-6 focuses on HIV prevention, case finding, care, and treatment, ensuring improved health outcomes for general populations.
The project addresses key barriers to epidemic control through HIV case identification and linkage, adult and paediatric treatment, prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), cervical cancer screening, TB/HIV integrated care, laboratory strengthening, and private sector engagement. With local capacity development at its core, ACE-6 strengthens health systems and policies in collaboration with federal, state, and community stakeholders, creating a sustainable framework for long-term HIV/AIDS response and epidemic control in Nigeria.
