Heartland Alliance Nigeria hosts strategic joint USAID KP-OVC partner’s Optimization workshop on AP3
USAID/Nigeria is expanding HIV treatment coverage among pediatrics, adolescents, and pregnant women to close existing gaps and achieve sustained control of the HIV epidemic. A 5-day strategic joint USAID KP-OVC partner’s Optimization workshop on AP3 supported by USAID/Nigeria brought together in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State all USAID Key Population (KP) and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) partners including Heartland Alliance Nigeria, Pro-Health International, Society for Family Health (SFH), and Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) in May 2023.

A 5-day strategic joint USAID KP-OVC partner’s Optimization workshop on AP3 supported by USAID/Nigeria brought together in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State all USAID Key Population (KP) and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) partners including Heartland Alliance Nigeria, Pro-Health International, Society for Family Health (SFH), and Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) in May 2023.
The workshop focused on the Accelerating Progress on Pediatrics and PMTCT (AP3) initiative, aligning efforts to reduce new HIV infections in children under 10, enhance identification and treatment of affected children and adolescents, increase viral load suppression to 95%, and reduce mortality rates.

Through USAID/Nigeria’s support, Heartland’s strategic approach to AP3 implementation of Find All, Test All, Treat All, and Report All has placed more than 3,600 pediatric life-saving services and treatment and provided more than 10,000 pregnant women ANC support.
