The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) paid an advocacy visit to Akwa Ibom State to advocate for visibility for the cause of the marginalized.  The three days visit aims to strengthen partnership, collaboration, and provide perspective to partners and coordinating Ministries Agencies and Departments about HALG’s organizational strategic direction.

During the visit, the CEO had audience with the Project Manager of the Akwa Ibom AIDS control Agency (AKSACA), The Director of Public health, The Hon. Commissioner for Health, and the Senior Special Advisor (SSA) to the Governor on Multi-lateral and donor agency.

Emerging areas of request for collaboration from the state is on Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF) programs in the state. HALG will continue to work to canvas for funding support for the state.
