COVID-19 Update

Since the start of the global inoculation campaign, Heartland Alliance Nigeria with funding from USAID has been supporting the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and state (PHCDA) to ensure equal access to #COVID-19 Vaccines for those in need, especially member of Key Populations community and those positively living with HIV.

The vaccine has changed the course of the #pandemic and these shots serve their most important function—preventing severe illness.

With unvaccinated persons facing a far higher risk of hospitalization and death, #HALG with support from USAID  trained 172 Community Frontline Workers who are registered Nurses including PHC staff from Akwa Ibom, Baylesa, Cross River, Jigawa, Lagos and Niger State in July 2022. Currently, our team have successfully supported in getting the shots into more than 14,000 arms. #HALG remain committed to a world of equal rights and equitable justice for all.
